Designers in Europe for 2025-2026

We are thrilled to unveil the winners of the 2025-2026 “Europe 40under40®” program, showcasing the Europe's most promising figures in architecture and design, along with their outstanding and innovative projects.

During these challenging times, it is crucial to keep insightful visions alive. We can look to the future with hope when we see the most promising new talent in architecture and design from across Europe.

The “Europe 40under40®” initiative attracted over 350 submissions from across Europe. This year's selected young architectural talents represent Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom spotlighting the vibrant diversity of Europe's next generation of architectural talent.

Europe 40 under40® PROGRAM

The “Europe 40under40®” is an annual awards program initiated by The European Centre to highlight and distinguish the next generation of architects and designers who will impact future living and working environments, cities, and rural areas. It is an annual celebration of innovation and creativity.

The program is open to all young architects, landscape architects, urban planners, and industrial designers currently under the age of 40, working independently, in a firm, or on a specific project as the lead architects/designers.

EXHIBITION, AWARDS CEREMONY & YEARBOOK

All the winning projects will be featured in the exhibition "40 Young European Architects with New Visions", which will be held on Friday, December 4, together with the Awards Ceremony at the European Centre-Contemporary Space Athens, 74 Mitropoleos Str., Athens, Greece.

A special Yearbook based on the winner’s work will also be published and will be available for online orders internationally to archi-lovers by the Metropolitan Arts Press in Fall.

NEW CALL: We're already accepting submissions for next year's competition. Select and submit your most outstanding work for Europe 40under40® 2026-2027 showcase the projects that best reflect your impact in architecture, construction and design. The deadline for the 2026-2027 program is December 15,  2026.
