The 12metre class racing yachts of Robbe & Berking Classics standing Godfather fort he naval architecture of the cutlery 12“, designed by the german designer Daniel Eltner!

For decades, competitions have been sailed for the America`s Cup with so-called Twelves, yachts about 20 metres long.

The worldwide mecca of these icons in yachting today is the yachtyard Robbe & Berking, a sister of the silver manufactory of the same name.

The handles, in section halfround and shaped like the body of a sailing yacht, can be perfectly being turned and locked during handling, like needed.

Its transition from handle to mouthpiece reminds of the bow, the end-piece of the handle is analogous to the elegant stern and the knife blade reminds of a complete sail.

The 12“ sailing silver cutlery, thought as metaphor for an culinarian sailing-trip which overcomes boundaries and combines cultures is designed for the international haute culinaire.
