IDEA FONDATION

The principle of the project is the conservation of this place of this singular and unique “garden park”, the last of this kind with its original house on Apoquindo Avenue of Las Condes commune in Santiago. Our purpose then, is to donate this garden completely to the public space, to the commune, protecting and replacing all the original trees and preserving the original paths of the garden.

The old house we consider as a monument of the commune, will be part of the new building program whose access will be through it.

Consequently, the new building adopts the typology of the trees, in its condition of trunk and foliage, occupying the minimum occupation of soil in the central meadow and locating the maximum square meters in its foliage.

The difference of the vertical undulations of the volume refers to the differences in heights of the trees around it. The tallest trees in the garden will be respected in planters of the entire depth of the land, others will be moved and replanted in the original layout and others will be replanted with the same original species according to the corresponding sew and study.

The Project name then: “THE TREE BUILDING”
