Akebono soybeans, known as “Seeds of Virtue” are quite sweet, large in size, and harvested exclusively in Minobe town from long ago. To express its assured quality and long-standing history, the package design features a motif of store-logo of alphabet “A”which is the first letter of Akebono shaped like Mt. Fuji, the symbol of Japan being deeply-related to Minobe town. The use of the texture of traditional Japanese paper, specialty of Minobe town, in its outer package is aimed at appealing the image of Minobe town in hopes that the brand may grow stronger to help promote the regional vitalization. Gift packages are formed by holding a single sheet of paper in Mt.Fuji-like shape, and noshi-gift wrapped to suggest the traditional Japanese culture.
