Although the circular blade was patented in 1777, the portable electric circular saw came much later, invented in 1923. Since then, internal mechanical innovations have occurred, but the flawed configuration has stayed the same.
There is very little problem with the angle adjustment control; it has been very visible on the front of the tool. But the even more used and important depth of cut scale has remained mostly hidden, squeezed between the blade guard and motor housing!
Hart’s designers recognized that their new ultra-compact 20-volt battery design could solve this century-old problem. By moving the battery backward from the motor housing, a large sight window opens, allowing a clear view of the measuring scale! This innovation is possible without making the tool larger. Patent attorneys have acknowledged this achievement by awarding a patent to this new feature!
Hart’s new smaller but more powerful brushless digital motor introduces another functional improvement; materials up to ¾” thickness can be cut on either side of the saw!
Hart leads the brushless digital revolution by providing 38% faster cutting, 34% more cuts per charge and a faster blade speed of 4000 RPM!
