Following the hugely successful launch of the original Danish designed one-legged Sitpack chair in 2014, and the more recent Sitpack Zen success more than 100,000 have been sold, Sitpack has now taken its expertise in creating portable and ergonomic seats into the outdoor and leisure market.
Campster is a portable chair that provides the same seating comfort and height as a normal chair, yet, when folded it takes up less room than a 1.25-litre water bottle and weighs just 0.970gr/2lbs!
Engineered to be the smallest, lightest, and least restrictive portable chair ever, Campster flips the concept of the need for a huge and bulky camping chair to be comfortable.
After careful research, Sitpack discovered that high seating (43cm 17") is a feature not found in any other super portable chairs and following intensive testing, found huge value in sitting high and packing small.
Many users with chronic ligament, leg and back issues, even arthritis, have trouble getting up from smaller chairs, rendering portable seating solution non inclusive.
With Campster it is now a breeze to bring along a portable seat that is easy to get up from.
The Campster is a simplistic and minimalistic solution which uses gravity to unfold, with a "one-pull" locking system only seen on Sitpack products. After a little practice, Sitpack believes use will become second nature.
Just as the famous Danish designer Arne Jacobsen did with the “myren” (Ant) chair, Campster’s innovative three-legged design allows users to shift, move around easily and stay comfortable.
One of the most important features of the chair is that it provides an elevated seating height whilst allowing full manoeuvrability of the legs with no constraining poles.
Campster also has the same high backrest a normal chair would have with mesh material at the back for ventilation. The back rest is already attached to the seat poles, giving a rapid 7-second deployment with no assembly required.
Jonas Lind-Bendixen, CEO and inventor of Sitpack, commented: “Sitpack has been working with disruptive and innovating compact seating products for more than 5 years. Our designs are all within a limited space, so choices of the correct materials and lots of brainpower is required to invent innovative compact designs, offering the same functions as established brands, but at a fraction of the size and weight. Our features and designs speak for themselves and set us apart from all other brands.”
By using beautifully anodized aluminum, the Campster has a very exclusive look and feel.
The all-in-one frame, complete with a ripstop nylon seat, means the chair weighs only 2lbs with the ability to carry capacity up to 300 lbs.
The simple pivoting arms ensure the backrest will follow every move, whether it be forward, backward or to the side.
As long as the user’s legs are kept on the ground for support, they can move around freely.
