After crafting his Perrarus 2 collection and hearing his clientele’s positive reception to his one-of-a-kind bottles, Fairchild continued to push the boundaries of what wine bottles should look like. Always striving for one-of-a-kind elegances, Fairchild decided to release his first chardonnay in a bottle unheard of in the wine world and worthy of the wine inside – a bottle that could actually stand on its side. His vision included smooth and elegant lines and a European Italian glass flair to match the delicate wine inside. He also needed this bottle to fit the concept of the Stones collection with a label that continued the tradition of mythic story- telling and a design hand-pressed in zinc. Artistry, creativity, and luxury are paramount to Fairchild’s vision for creating the world’s most collectable wines and he delivered with his Stones Chardonnay.

The first Stones Wine Chardonnay, a 2017 vintage, made a debut in 2020 in a never-before-seen bottle. As part of the Stones Wine collection, the 2017 Chardonnay is more than just the elegant masterpiece of wine crafted from the most coveted vineyards in Napa Valley. The Stones Chardonnay bottle is a tear-dropped shape that can actually stand when titled, a design unheard of in the wine world. Both functional and striking, a Stones Chardonnay bottle warrants its own special space in wine cellars because of this unexpectedly unique shape.

Aside from the first-of-its kind bottle shape, unique characteristics include the bottle’s black color, atypical for white wines, and the metal label that begins in the center then narrowly ascends the bottle’s spine. Hand-pressed in zinc and dipped in French Bordeaux, the label is another one-of-a-kind design from Fairchild and his team. In line with his other Stones Wines, Proprietor Lawrence Fairchild designed the Chardonnay label to feature the story of a Greek god, Helios. Helios rides a chariot against a striking sky while set in a circular label that mimics sun and is positioned in very center of the bottle.

From the bottle’s shape to the color to the label, the Stones Chardonnay collection is the embodiment of Fairchild’s meticulous attention to detail and appreciation for refined luxury.
