Exhibitions are places to meet. But in 2020 and 2021, personal meetings were often impossible. How then can companies nevertheless share a common genuine experience with their customers? With a real exhibition stand that is built regardless – or precisely for that very reason! This virtual real exhibition stand opens its doors to all customers via the Internet: Here they can discover engineering innovations on their own or have them presented in direct conversation with experts. Just as if they were live on site – but at a comfortable distance from their desk.

Customers want to experience real innovations in real life. The Corona Year 2020 has rejected this need. But if the face-to-face experience is not possible, how can you show what progress has been made anyway? With real pictures, with test machines, with the people behind these advances.

That's why igus has turned a real trade fair stand into a virtual journey of experience. Online, to discover for yourself or together with an expert who will personally guide you through the multitude of innovations.

The most important thing: it is real. We have filled a 400 m² room on the igus site with all our new products. Captured with 360° cameras, visitors can stroll and discover for themselves. It is the motion plastics room that belongs to them. Just like a normal igus stand, but adapted for the journey on the screen.

In addition, we have broadcasted various events from this space. Via live stream to product news, award ceremonies and press conferences. One was there live, so to speak. Using translators, we were even able to reach a broader audience of editors because we were able to live stream press conferences for 8 different countries!

Using a PC or tablet, you simply go to the virtual stand and move freely through the room using the menu and mouse. A lot of innovations, information and videos can be discovered here - even a few Easter Eggs.

The time before the corona crisis belong to the past now. In 2020, this is our now new space to get in touch with people. Four-free. This innovation has presented our sales force with new challenges, but the success with over 53,000 visitors to the virtual stand and over 10,000 guided customer visits in 2020 has shown that despite distance, the living experience can be successful.
