The all-new Lynk & Co Club in Amsterdam pushes beyond traditional automotive retail by offering a community-focused hub for members and non-members alike. The Club was designed to align with Lynk & Co’s core sustainability values as well as the Swedish environmental code, which promotes sustainable development to benefit future generations. The challenges are what we expect, delays onset by a global pandemic, but the biggest challenge is to completely change up the mindset of an automotive industry hell bent on an age-old logic of customer facing salesrooms. Lynk & Co will have no dealerships, no other customer touchpoints than at these cool community driven club spaces in cities across Europe.
Yes, there’s a car tucked away in there—and it’s a very, very good car! —but that’s not the point. The Clubs are a full sensory experience, with attention paid to even the smallest details. Most of the space is dedicated to café-style lounge areas, a sustainably sourced coffee and snack bar, curated treasures from Lynk & Co partners, and a digital façade to underscore the company’s 24/7 availability. Guests are invited to take a test drive of the Lynk & Co 01, and, soon as it’s safe for people to gather, the Club will host events like DJ nights, film screenings, art shows, and maybe even an adult puppet show or two. The Clubs may share Lynk & Co’s DNA: eco-friendly materials, flexible spaces, and a sense of humour. But don’t think that once you’ve seen one Club, you’ve seen them all. The Club was designed to contrast Scandinavian simplicity with the raw, industrial character of its home city of Gothenburg, Sweden.
We want consumers to feel something different, a space with a new vibe. If you went and want something to remember your visit by? How about the mug you sipped your cappuccino from? Or the lamp over your head? Or the sofa? Or, well, just about anything. Everything in the Club—from the cups to the counters—is thoughtfully sourced and available to buy. Lynk & Co also has a rotating collection of items from local creators, independent designers, and sustainable brands available in the Club. The company chose partners based on their sustainability and social responsibility, with a focus on supporting small businesses and creatives. Lynk & Co is proving that is goes beyond a car, or even a club. It's a community.

Lynk & Co has always been about more than just mobility—it’s a way to connect with the community. That’s why, rather than tossing some boring branded merchandise on their website, they’ve chosen to curate a selection of interesting products by independent partners that share our values. Each partner was chosen because they aligned with the things that are important to us: creativity, sustainability, and uplifting our communities. Items from these brands will be available in the Club and some of them will also be available online.
It sure doesn’t look anything like a traditional car dealership. The Club was designed to be flexible, modular, and able to work for diverse needs: whether it’s an exclusive DJ set, provocative art exposition, cooking classes, or adult puppeteering. The experience starts before you even enter the Club, with the beautiful historic building and a digital façade featuring Lynk & Co’s digital assistant. Inside, there’s a creative community area, a coffee bar featuring a Lynk & Co signature mocktail, amphitheatre-style seating for events, a chain-link cage to hold the 01, and a trove of thoughtful touches and design Easter eggs to discover. The Club works as a living room, community gathering place, and even a co-working space with meeting rooms, with everything in the Club available for sale.
Much of the historic building was preserved, and the renovations were done using only natural building materials and a small amount of recycled plastic. Even the display podiums are handcrafted from recycled newspaper and car scraps.
Lynk & Co has curated a selection of small businesses, eco-friendly brands, and talented artists from across Europe to feature in the Club. The brands are diverse, but a few things unite them: unique visions, quality products, and a proven dedication to sustainability. Lynk & Co will offer products and host events in collaboration with these partners, while focusing on uplifting ethical brands, promoting their products in a premium retail environment, and providing them with fair agreements. With a rolling line-up of local partners, there will always be new products and events for members to explore.
These club spaces are unique to a world of traditional car environments, they are visually stunning and pleasing to walk in to. The concept of a collaborative community work and play space is truly innovative and the ethos on the local brands and sustainability benefits all!
