The journey up never feels the same as the journey down. Our approach to this collaboration with Hyundai Elevator was to explore the interior of an elevator through a series of experiences with materials at the centrestage.

To develop four designs, that through materials, can enhance the way a passenger feels in apartment living. We don’t often consciously think about the interior of an elevator because we are distracted by what is going on around us, the other passengers, the journey ahead of us at the start of the day or the thoughts of an evening ahead at the end of the day. We saw the elevator as a series of moments and expectations that the passenger may not think about but are there operating quietly in the background to influence our moods.

The old-fashioned attentive lift attendant used to be the discrete host but we have replaced the same welcoming feeling of luxury that you are being cared for through these moments, that the passenger may not think about but is there and its through these moments that we have created the Hyundai Elevator experience.
