Coleman Peak1 Backpacking Tents offer a convenient way to view the night sky, even if there’s rain in the forecast. Accessible from within the tent, the team designed a Star View Window that can be opened and zipped shut at a moment’s notice. Setting up the tent is equally simple thanks to the color-coded tent poles and attachment points.
The design approach features dynamic angles and strong contrasting colors that pop when lit from the inside. Each tent has plenty of storage with large vestibules, inside pockets, and a gear loft. Campers often avoid using a rainfly in favor of a clear view of the stars. Then again, it’s no fun waking up wet and fumbling to put one on.
So, the design team developed a solution, one that gives campers a great view, increased airflow, and no reason to have to step outside searching for a rainfly. Simply unzip the interior mesh to access the Star View Window, then zip it shut to keep the bugs out. No more missing out on starry nights, and no more worrying about a change in weather.
Designed with a large Star View Window, campers can enjoy the view with no fear of foul weather. Double-wall construction (mesh inner body and waterproof outer rainfly) provides airflow when desired and the option to remove the rainfly altogether. Best of all, users can access the Star View Window from the comfort of their sleeping bag. Its color-coded tent body, poles, and rainfly provide a fast, frustration-free setup. The x-shaped pole structure is freestanding without stakes, further enhancing the ease of setup.
The offset ridge pole in the smaller version optimizes headroom for a more comfortable living space when sitting upright. The angled entry pole on larger tents provides a more vertical door opening and more headroom when entering or exiting.
