MobED (Mobile Eccentric Droid) is a novel, compact mobile platform that consists of 4 DnL (Drive and Lift) modules, which combines driving, steering, posture control, and braking systems into a single structure. It can maintain a stable, level platform on inclined or uneven surfaces through active posture control and can move freely in any direction through 4-wheel independent steering (4WIS).

MobED's omnidirectional 4WIS gives the platform a unique advantage of motion in narrow and complex urban environments. This feature makes MobED suitable for unmanned mobility services that improve everyday convenience. MobED's minimalistic design emphasizes its unique mechanism.

Pixel lighting on all sides of its body communicates MobED's state, including its driving direction. MobED's form as a versatile open platform allows diverse applications depending on the mounted device, such as monitors, baby strollers, and insulated containers.

These upper modules can provide a variety of services, including outdoor delivery and guidance. MobED can be coupled with various upper modules according to the user's needs and it can be also used as a micro-mobility device for people with limited mobility, such as the elderly and the disabled.
