Flat, small, and modular - these are the features of this new contact block. The new MK is an extremely compact and powerful contact block that also corresponds to Schlegel’s design standards, having straight-lined aesthetics. Additionally, the machine-building industry values the more-is-less approach.

To keep machines as slim as possible, space-saving components are required. Contact blocks and switches are not excluded from this either. Especially in functional parts in miniature, it can make all the difference.

Due to its well-thought construction, the MK has a mounting depth of 17.6 mm – without any loss in performance. Despite the compact construction, also requiring less material, the contact block is very robust: It can be operated at a voltage of up to Ue = 250 V and a current of up to Ie = 3 A.
The insulation voltage Ui is 600 V and the thermic current Ith is 16 A.

With the MK, the designers optimized our well-established modular concept of contact blocks. The contact blocks can be combined and mounted into the module holder as required. The distinct colorings of the NO, NC and LED module facilitate the handling.

The design allows a simple mounting in a 9-millimeter standard width and with less distance. In the Schlegel world, the MK is versatile: It fits all Schlegel pushbuttons and switches of all ranges with a 22-millimeter housing neck. The combination of various types of connections of the MK provides even more flexibility.

Currently, the designers have implemented the screw connection. The push-in technology, which allows even a safe connection of flexible cables, is already in preparation.
