The new HP Latex 700/800 series of large format commercial printers consists of four models, the 700 and 800, and the 700W and 800W. The 800-series printers allow the use of larger capacity 3-liter ink tanks, whereas the W-series printers offer white ink printing capability for the first time in this category.
It is the whitest, high-opacity white ink available on the market, developed to resist yellowing over time. The printers are targeted at professional Print Service Providers (PSPs) yet have been designed to be easy-to-learn and easy to use recognizing that not all operators are printing experts.
The new Latex printers are capable of printing transparent and color media, canvas, wallpapers, vehicle graphics, signage, polyester, and cotton fabrics, on 64-inch-wide rolls. The new form factor features a front-to-front architecture design that incorporates a raisable curing module which makes it easier for operators to quickly and easily load/unload the printing material.
PSPs are challenged to find ways to scale and differentiate their organizations in an ever-changing business environment. A big growth factor in this sector is the environmental agenda. As the world works to reduce negative climate impact, printer manufacturers, PSPs, and customers ordering print, are all considering how to contribute.
The global pandemic has accelerated these client-driven requirements for the HP brand. Providing business customers with the specialized industry solutions they need is an important business focus and market differentiator for HP.
