The product is high-density foam subfloor. This is a special non-organic material that has been specially formulated for basements. People may not realize that the cement floors in their basements continue to emit moisture, and of course, they are cold and hard. That’s why basements are typically smelly, uncomfortable spaces. Our product is meant to be laid down prior to putting down finished flooring, whether that’s carpet, luxury vinyl tile, laminate etc. It will provide a gap between the finished flooring and the cement so that any moisture coming out of the cement can dry. It can also handle small leaks which will make their way into your basement drain. Best of all, the foam material provides an insulating layer that makes the room feel warmer.
