Vernes Causevic - Bosnia and Herzegovina
Vernes Causevic (BArch DipArch ARB) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian architect and co-founder of Project V Architecture with Lucy Dinnen, an award-winning studio based in Sarajevo and London.
He qualified as an architect in London in 2014, following experience in architectural offices in London and Berlin.Project V Architecture creates ecologically and socially sustainable buildings, interiors, and places, working across diverse sectors and scales.
Their research-driven, context-led approach delivers projects that contribute positively to site, society, and the planet, with an emphasis on strong ideas, craftsmanship, and natural materials.Vernes has led numerous award-winning projects and competitions across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the UK, and the Western Balkans.
This includes the rammed earth Most Mira Peace Centre in Prijedor, recipient of the International LafargeHolcim European Silver Award for Sustainable Construction, the Zemlja project in Sarajevo, awarded the national Grand Prix architecture prize and Half House, nominated for the EUMies Award and Aga Kahn Award. Vernes has taught at the Global Free Unit, University of Sheffield, and UmeƄ University.
