Julien Deloffre - Belgium
Julien is a Brussels-based architect, urban designer, and co-founder of l’atelier DEV, a practice working across architecture, urbanism, and landscape. His work explores the production of space at multiple scales, with a strong focus on the transformation of contemporary urban environments.
Through l’atelier DEV, he develops collaborative and context-driven projects in both public and private sectors.
The office is particularly recognized for reclaiming oversized road infrastructures into high-quality pedestrian public spaces in Brussels. Several of these projects have been nominated for the Brussels Architecture Prize (2021, 2025), while the Bon Air garden city project received the International Grand Prize for Urban Renewal at the Green Solutions Awards.
Before founding l’atelier DEV, Julien Deloffre spent over a decade as a project leader at the office Ms-a, where he developed extensive expertise in public space design, landscape, and housing. His experience includes major urban squares, heritage sites, and large-scale urban developments across Belgium, including the Navez corner building, awarded the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award (Emerging Architecture).
