Diogo De Sousa Rocha - Portugal
Diogo is a Portuguese architect and founding partner of Masslab, where he oversees the office’s architectural, urban, and international work. He graduated in Architecture from the University of Porto and later completed executive training in Innovation and Sustainability at UC Berkeley, alongside an Executive MBA at Porto Business School.
Before founding Masslab, Diogo worked in Brazil with Aflalo/Gasperini Arquitetos, contributing to large-scale architectural projects, and later in Portugal at the Northern Regional Directorate for Culture, where he was involved in projects within public institutional frameworks. This professional trajectory underpins his ongoing work on projects that exist at the intersection of architecture and governance.
Alongside Masslab, Diogo is Honorary Consul of Turkey in Porto and Secretary of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Order of Architects, with active involvement in cultural diplomacy, professional governance, and architectural policy. At Masslab, Diogo is involved in Echo - the office’s research-driven ecosystem - and Mass Talks, a cycle of conversations that explores how we can design for a hopeful future.
