Adrien Coste, France

Adrien is a French architect. Adrien and Guillaume Vienne founded Alt174 Architecture in 2018, having won the “Europan 14” competition the previous year.

Adrien and Guillaume met at the architecture firm Zigzag Architecture.

The practice promotes an architecture that is playful, adaptable and collaborative. They seek to achieve resilience without being generic, placing user experience at the core of their design approach.

In 2024, the Équerre d’Argent jury awarded the "Première Œuvre Prize" to their rehabilitation project for the Simone Veil School in Lompret.

Developed in close consultation with the students, the project surpassed its initial goal of energy renovation by reimagining the building's exterior, interior circulation, and recreational spaces.
