Djamel Kara is co-managing Ropa & Associes Architectes since 2020 alongside Laurent Blondel. With Bernard Ropa, the third partner, they strive to anchor the practice of the profession of architect in a collaborative approach between all those involved in the act of building.

Ropa & Associés Architects puts people at the heart of its concerns. It defends the user's place by creating spatial arrangements that promote encounters, conviviality, and a certain form of the social link's aestheticization. Concerned about a practice far removed from any dogmatism and responding as closely as possible to uses by enriching them, the office considers that architecture must strive to build by going beyond programs, always at the service of users.

The practice's approach stems from a detailed analysis of various complexities of a program and their possible relationships. It questions the various urban, societal, functional, and programmatic issues. The systematic aim is the creation of a simple and singular architecture that makes sense in our time, functional, warm, and virtuous.
